ARK News: a Syrian Kurdish leader confirmed, on Thursday, 5 December 2019, that the head of the National Security Bureau in the Syrian regime, Major General Ali Mamlouk, arrived at the Qamishlo airport in Syrian Kurdistan, with the aim of meeting with some social personalities as well as tribal elders of all components.

Meanwhile, a Kurdish source familiar with Qamishlo confirmed to (BasNews) that "Mamlouk has already met with Arab and Kurdish figures on Thursday morning at Qamishlo airport."

Major General Ali Mamlouk's visit to Qamishlo comes at a time when the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has handed over three new towns (Ein Isa, Tal Tamr, and Amouda) to the Russian military police and the Syrian regime forces.

While a source in the PYD's self-administration denied its knowledge of General Mamlouk's visit to Qamishlo, Shallal Kaddo, the leader of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, told (BasNews): "The Syrian Kurdish National Council is not concerned with this visit at all and will not attend the meetings that will be held by the owners with some social personalities as well as some of the tribal elders of all components," confirming the news of the visit.

He added that "the Kurdish National Council has a clear political vision on the Syrian crisis, as well as on the Kurdish issue, which is part of the international movement, and international forums held from time to time in this regard."

"The solution to the Syrian crisis needs to write a new constitution, as well as the consensus of international and regional parties that have a major role in the Syrian issue," Kaddo made clear.
Kiddo stressed, "The Kurdish National Council the (ENKS) has nothing to do with this visit nor with these meetings that are taking place in the city of Qamishlo between Mamlouk and some of the tribal elders from different components in the region."
