The PYD administration confirms deal to deploy regime Forces to Manbij, Kobani

ARK News: The Self-Administration of North and East Syria confirmed in an official statement on Sunday evening (October 13) that the Syrian regime forces would be moved to Manbij and Kobani as part of an agreement between the two sides.

The deployment, the statement pointed out, is to halt the Turkish incursion into Syria against the SDF forces, as scores of civilians have already been killed in Turkish strikes.

This could be an opportunity to reclaim the Kurdish enclave of Afrin, which was taken over by Turkey during Ankara's "Olive Branch Operation" last year, the press release said.

After being disappointed in Washington's backing against Turkey, the PYD led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reached an agreement with Russia and Syria in hopes of putting an end to Turkey's offensive against the Kurdish people in northeastern Syria.

The self-administration added that the SDF fought against the Islamic State (IS) for several years, while it lost over 10,000 fighters.

But, Turkey is now, it continued, "invading northeast of Syria, like Afrin," informing their people of the arrival of Syrian armed forces to the area in order to halt the Turkish attacks.

The SDF had already warned the US that they would consider a partnership with the Syrian regime if Washington keeps ignoring them.
