ARK News: The US Department of Defense has announced the destabilizing consequences for Turkey itself after a military operation against Kurdish forces in northeast Syria.

Undersecretary of Defense John Hoffman said that we would work with NATO allies and partners in the international coalition and would inform Turkey of the destabilizing consequences of military operations in Syria. The remarks are made about Turkey itself, the region and after Turkey launched an air strike.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump had warned Turkey against rejecting an attack on US troops or US allies in Syria.

On October 5, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the country could launch military operations in northern Syria in the coming days.

On October 8, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the completion of preparations for the operation.

Ankara and Washington reached a preliminary agreement in early August on establishing a safe zone on Syrian soil, and in early September launched a joint patrol operation in northeast Syria, albeit on a safe area and how to control it. They have comments.

Damascus has repeatedly criticized all joint efforts by Turkey and the United States as well as unilateral actions on Syrian soil as blatant violations of Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
