In a report, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated the reasons for his death: The group tried to steal a shop in the village at dawn, and when the elderly citizen heard sounds coming from his neighbor's shop, he went out to inspect the site, prompting the gunmen to shoot him at close range with a gunshot wound to the head, which led to his immediate death.
The observatory added that the man was suffering from severe difficulty in vision, and had been exposed to trying to steal his tractor on Thursday at his home in the village, but the attempt of the gunmen failed after the discovery of their order.
For its part, the Human Rights Organization in Afrin said: The checkpoint of armed factions located in the village, only 200 meters from the scene of the crime.
