ARK News: The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed its rejection of the statements of US Secretary of State (Mike Pompeo) concerning Turkey in the context of the Syrian issue.
The foreign ministry mentioned in a statement issued by its spokesman (Hami Aksoy) on Friday that "Pompeo said in a television interview that ensuring the avoidance of Kurdish killing by Turks and protecting religious minorities in Syria is a part of the US mission "According to the Anatolia Agency.
The statement added: "We reject the statements of the US Secretary of State related to our country in the context of the Syrian crisis in terms of style and content."
The statement said that comparing to (Pompeo) organization "YPG/PKK" to Kurds by Pompeo "if not intentionally, it betrays a disturbing lack of information."
He stressed that Turkey is determined to continue the fight against the YPG/PKK and Da'esh organizations, which constitute a threat to the unity of the political entity of Syria and the unity of its territory.
He stressed that any form of distortion of Turkey's fight against the YPG could not be accepted as targeting a specific group of society in Syria, while Turkey has embraced all categories of the Syrian people, including the Kurds.
The statement strongly condemned the organization of YPG/PKK as a partner of the United States in the fight against the Da'esh organization.
He stressed that Turkey will continue to take into account the protection of the rights of Syrian Kurds, referring to the embrace of hundreds of thousands of Syrian Kurds fleeing from the persecution of the "YPG/PKK".
