ARK News… The International Committee of the Red Cross in Syria denied its relationship with any medicines bearing the organization's badge sold in some pharmacies in Syria.

The International Committee of the Red Cross in Syria said in a post on its account on the social networking platform “Facebook”: Some Syrian pharmacies have recently sold packages of medicine bearing the badge of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The International Committee of the Red Cross in Syria confirmed that the nature of its work is humanitarian and non-profit, and that it provides humanitarian materials and services free of charge, and does not manufacture or produce any type of medicine.

It added that it does not place its badge on the medicines it distributes, and the International Committee of the Red Cross emblem may not be used by unauthorized parties or persons.

It concluded by saying: The International Committee of the Red Cross categorically denies any connection with these packages, and urges people not to purchase them.
