ARK News… In light of the difficult economic conditions in Syrian Kurdistan, the people in the cities and towns under the control of the PYD administration complain about the poor service and living conditions and the recurring crises that this administration creates.

In the early days of this, the rise in the price of bread was the talk of the hour in cities and towns, as the PYD administration raised the price of a bundle of bread from 500 Syrian pounds to 1000, and in addition to its high price, it lacked quality standards.

The PYD administration, on September 4, 2023, increased the price of a liter of heating diesel for homes in the city of Kobani from 125 Syrian pounds to 325. That is, by 160%.

On the second of September, the PYD administration raised the price of one ampere for electric generators in the city of Qamishlo, with an increase of 13 thousand Syrian pounds, and for generators that operate for 24 hours, an increase of 50 thousand SP, as the price of one ampere previously was 12 thousand SP.

The electricity crisis continues in Syrian Kurdistan, with power outages in some areas reaching 20-22 hours a day.

On the other hand, coinciding with the decline in the value of the Syrian pound against the US dollar, the markets of Syrian Kurdistan are witnessing a crazy rise in prices, and people are complaining about the lack of control over prices by the PYD administration.
