On Wednesday, 8/5/2024), Yann Brim, the French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, visited the immortal shrine in the Barzan region, and was received by Mullah Mustafa Barzani’s son, President Masoud Barzani.

During the visit, the French Consul expressed his happiness and sense of pride at having the opportunity for the first time to visit the Barzan area and the Shrine of the Immortals.

The French Consul General added: This visit is very important for us, especially since France is an old friend of the Kurdish people.

Yan Brim stressed that the Barzan region is the cradle of the Kurdish people's revolution, and a place of dramatic and tragic history.

Prem renewed the support of the French government and people for the Kurdistan Region, stressing that his country is working to strengthen relations with the Kurdistan Region in all fields.
