Saadoun Sheikho: The PYD administration is working to remove the Kurdish character and clear the area of Kurds

ARK News... The Kurdish politician, Saadoun Sheikho, on March 12, 2023, said that the decisions of the PYD administration aim to prepare the ground for changing the demography of the Kurdish regions in Syrian Kurdistan.

The Kurdish politician said in exclusive statements to ARK: "The PKK / PYD system since it took power - from the authoritarian Syrian regime - in Syrian Kurdistan and to this day, has been working at all levels to evacuate the region from its Kurdish people."

He continued, "This is through many tyrannical and intimidating practices against political and media activists, civil society organizations, and parties to the Kurdish movement (who do not work under their shadow)."

Regarding the decision to prevent the raising of the Kurdistan flag and pictures of President Barzani by the PYD administration, he confirmed, "The decision of this system comes to prevent the owners of shops in the city of Qamishlo from selling and raising the Kurdish flag and pictures of Kurdish symbols, and preventing their entry into Syrian Kurdistan within the framework of removing the Kurdish character in the region.".

"Thus preparing the ground for demographic change, which the Turkish, Syrian and Iranian regimes and their tools seek," according to the Kurdish politician.

The PYD administration had prevented the raising of the Kurdistan flag, pictures of President Barzani, and Kurdish symbols.
