Ali Sheikho: Erdogan, with his request for a tripartite meeting, wants to achieve several goals before the elections
ARK News... The head of the Erbil branch of the Syrian Kurdistan Writers Union confirmed that the meeting of Bashar al-Assad, the head of the Syrian regime, with the Turkish Foreign Minister, is nothing but a prelude to a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and all of this is happening without the approval of the international community and America.
During his participation in the Rebaz newsletter on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, Ali Sheikho, head of the Erbil branch of the Syrian Kurdistan Writers Union, said: Due to the decline in international interest in the Syrian file, the countries with influence in Syria began to implement their plans and agendas before any changes occurred in the international position regarding the situation in Syria.
Regarding Erdogan's request to hold a tripartite meeting between the heads of Russia, Turkey, and Bashar al-Assad, Ali Sheikho said: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with his request for a tripartite meeting, wants to get rid of the Syrian opposition with minimal losses and return the Syrian refugees who have been a burden on the Turkish economy, and Erdogan also wants to please the Turkish people before the Turkish elections, because the return of Syrian refugees is at the top of the list of demands of the Turkish people.
Sheikho stressed: Turkey may lose the support of the international community, especially America if it continues to work on convening a meeting between Erdogan and Assad.
