ARK News: Today, 7/10/2018, the 30th anniversary of the departure of Dr. Nouraddin Zaza, the first head of the Kurdish Party in Kurdistan Syria

A brief summary of the life of Dr. Nouraddin Zaza

He was born in 1919 in a village at the source of the Tigris River between Amad and el-Azizi in Kurdistan, Turkey, from a pure ancient family.

He studied in Beirut and, after obtaining his university degree, traveled to Switzerland to complete his postgraduate studies

Founded the Association of Kurdish Students in Europe in 1949 with a number of friends and issued the magazine "Voice of Kurdistan".

He completed his Ph.D. in Educational Sciences in 1956 and then returned to Syria

Together with some of his political friends, he founded the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria in 1957 and was the first Kurdish Party in Syria to be its president.

- He was arrested with his friends in 1960 by the federal state authorities (Syria and Egypt).

Dr. Nouraddin nominated himself for the parliamentary elections in 1961 but he did n’t a success because of the forgery by the authorities, and he was arrested and then released from prison to Lebanon. He was also arrested, when he decided to return to Syria, he was arrested and deported to Syrian province of Suwayda.

In 1967 he fled to Turkey, but the Turkish authorities chased him and fled to Switzerland until the last days of his life.

- Dr. has many articles published in the magazine of Hawar and the Kurdish magazine Ronahi.

In 1982 he published the book "My Kurdish Life"

- He married a Swiss girl who was interested in the Kurdish issue and had a son named Chango Valery

-He died in Lausanne on 7/10/1988 and was buried in the cemetery of Lausanne
