ENKS Representation: Instead of occupying areas in Kurdistan Region, the PKK should go to its real arena

ARK News… On 9-15-2021, a TNT mine exploded in a convoy of Peshmerga forces in the village of Kani Tozi in the Dinarte area in Duhok governorate, which has been witnessing tension for a while, "as a result of the repeated attacks by members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party against defenseless civilians in the Kurdistan Region and the targeting of Peshmerga forces, which resulted in the martyrdom of two Roj Peshmerga fighters, Hamdi Jaber Muhammad and Ismail Othman, according to a statement issued by the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Foundation.

We in the Kurdistan Region Representation of the Kurdish National Council express our deep concern about the provocative actions and repeated attacks by the PKK militants for a while, targeting the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces and defenseless civilians, which led to the martyrdom of dozens of Peshmerga and civilians, in addition to emptying entire villages as a result of fear and terrorism practiced against them. The Peshmerga have a record of sacrifice and defense of the land of Kurdistan, they offered sacrifices, and they never interfered with the privacy of any part of Kurdistan.

It was the duty of the PKK militants to go to their real arena instead of occupying large areas of the lands of the Kurdistan Region decades ago, which were liberated by the bravery and courage of the Kurdistan Peshmerga. On this occasion, we strongly condemn the blatant interference by the PKK in the affairs of the Kurdistan Region and other parts to shuffle the cards and cover up their failure, and thus providing pretexts for regional interventions in the affairs of the Kurdistan Region, at a time when the Kurdish interest requires supporting the experience of the Federal Region of Kurdistan, which is the only part that enjoys a legitimate and constitutional status.
