ARK News… A delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria met in Istanbul with Mrs. Sophie Neumann and Mr. Samuel Jeb, the two political officials to follow up on the Syrian issue, at the UK office in Beirut.

The delegation of the Kurdish Council included both Abdullah Kaddo and Dr. Zuhair Muhammad, members of the political body of the Syrian National Coalition, and Shivan Jaziri and Badr Mulla Rashid, members of Turkey's representation of the Kurdish National Council.

The meeting dealt with the role of Britain and its European and American allies in activating the international political settlement process, represented by the Geneva Conference and its annexes, for Syria to end the Syrian crisis and achieve peace and freedom for the Syrian people. It also dealt with the role of the Kurdish Council in the Syrian coalition and the necessary means to provide stability and the return of the displaced to Afrin, Seri Kaniye, and Gire Spi.

In addition to addressing the reasons for the continuation of migration from the eastern Euphrates region under the authority of the "the PYD Administration", where the reasons for migration continued, represented by forced conscription and unrecognized education, and the continuation of the unknown fate of the disappeared and detainees, as well as the kidnapping of children, in addition to the emergence of cases of killing of detainees under torture in its prisons, even though the dialogue between the Kurdish National Council and the PYNK parties, with an American guarantee, is based on stopping all these continuous violations, in the midst of a state of fear of an American withdrawal from the region, and the start of another Turkish military operation in the region, following repeated threats against manifestations of glorification and support for the PKK in the region.

The two parties stressed the importance of making the dialogue between the Council and PYNK a success in preparation for the transition to a democratic administration in which all components of the region participate. Despite its lack of direct presence in the aforementioned dialogue, the British side stressed that its government is supportive of the American role as guarantor of dialogue and support for the fight against ISIS in achieving the complete end of ISIS and preventing its re-emergence.
