What happened between President Barzani and the Turkish ambassador?
ARK News… President Masoud Barzani, on April 18, 2021, received in Salahuddin Fatih Yildiz, the Turkish ambassador to Iraq.
During the meeting, which took place on the occasion of the end of the Turkish ambassador's duties in Iraq, the Turkish ambassador conveyed the greetings of the President of the Turkish Republic to President Barzani and condemned the attacks that targeted the Kurdistan Region and Erbil International Airport.
In the same meeting, which was attended by Hakan Kara Jayi, the Turkish Consul General in Erbil, the emphasis was placed on strengthening and developing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey.
In order to ensure stability and the return of the displaced and the deportees to their areas, the two sides agreed on the need to implement the agreement signed between the federal government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government regarding the normalization of the situation in Shingal.
