A statement from the family of the eight kidnapped hostages by the SDF

ARK News… The family of the eight abductees by the administration of the city of Manbij, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces, on Saturday, February 27, 2021, issued a statement in which it demanded Mazloum Kobani to fulfill his moral, legal and tribal duty to reveal the fate of the eight detainees.

Dr. Lazgin Ibo, a family member, published a statement in the name of the family on his social media page, in which he said: Eight members of my family have been detained for 48 days at the Manbij Military Council of the QSD as a hostage without guilt, their only fault is that Nidal Ibo left work with the Civil Administration in Manbij, and there are accusations against him of being involved in corruption and embezzlement cases. The Manbij administration refuses to reveal the fate of this family until Nidal Ibo returns and surrenders himself. Names of the kidnapped and arrested:

1. Mahmoud Ibo, 60 years old, has heart disease.
2. Rezan Mahmoud Ibo, 24 years old
3. Ahmed Mahmoud Ibo, 16 years old, a baccalaureate student
4. Muhammad Mahmoud Ibo, 14 years old, is a middle school student
5. Amira Batran, 23, wife of Nidal Ibo

Nidal Ibo’s children:
6. Mahmoud Nidal Ibo, 6 years old
7. Lazgin Nidal Ibo, 4 years old
8. Areen Nidal Ibo, 3 years old

The statement added, according to ARK follow-up: We call on Mr. Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, to carry out his legal, moral, social, and tribal duty in accordance with the principles of the social contract in northeastern Syria and to assume his responsibility before the people and before the international coalition to fight terrorism to reveal the fate of this family and Immediately release the children, provide health care to the patient’s parents, return school students to their schools, hold accountable those involved in corruption and embezzlement cases, and present the results of investigations to the public opinion and the media.

The statement concluded: Those criminals who committed this heinous crime must be held accountable in flagrant violation of the principles of the social contract, child protection laws, and women's rights laws in Syrian Kurdistan.
