Mohsen Taher: questioning the existence of national Kurds and the historical in this fateful stage does not contribute to building the future of Syria

ARK News: In an interview with the channel "Russia 24" and the agency "Sputnik" Russian, about the current situation in Syrian Kurdistan, the President of the Syrian regime Bashar al-Assad said: "This region of Syria is a predominantly Arab region, more than seventy percent of its population is Arab and not vice versa.

In this regard, a member of the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria and the head of the Local Councils of the Kurdish National Council, Mohsen Taher, stated to the site of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, despite the chauvinistic policies that have been practiced against the Kurdish people for decades, the Kurdish people still constitute the vast majority in their historical regions, and the presence of national and religious components and sectarian thoroughbreds in Kurdistan geography, confirms the authenticity of the Kurds and accept the principle of co-existence, so questioning the existence of national Kurds and historic at this crucial stage, does not serve the national issues and democracy and does not contribute to building Syria's future.

Taher added that the presence of the Kurdish people cannot be subject to the criterion of numerical minority in determining their fate and national rights in the country, and the fact that their just cause remains pending, means the ruling authority's insistence on continuing its racist policies towards the Kurds and to continue to deny its national rights and legitimate democracy.

Taher explained that the division of Kurdistan came for the second time, according to the maps of Sykes and Pico early nineteenth century forcibly and without the will of the people of Kurdistan, the part annexed to Syria, although it is the smallest four parts of the land and people, it has all the ingredients of the people.
