Iran Reveals Proposal Rejected by Trump
ARK News.. An Iranian official has disclosed details of the proposal rejected by Donald Trump, stating that it includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic before initiating talks on Iran’s nuclear program.
According to Reuters, a senior Iranian official said on Saturday, May 2, 2026, that Tehran’s proposal—so far rejected by Trump—calls for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and lifting the U.S. naval blockade on Iran while postponing negotiations over the nuclear file to a later stage.
Trump told reporters on Friday that he was dissatisfied with Iran’s latest proposal to end the conflict in the Middle East, noting that negotiations are currently being conducted via phone.
