ARK News… The Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria highlighted the new political developments in the Middle East, especially the developments of events in Syrian Kurdistan.

In the presence of Muhammad Ismail, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, and a member of the Presidential Body of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Monday, 14/4/2024), the European Representative of the Kurdish National Council held its regular meeting, in the German city of Herne.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria spoke about the new political developments in the Middle East, in particular the developments of political events in Syrian Kurdistan, and related files.

During the meeting, organizational, political and media issues were discussed, which have a role in developing and activating the role of the Kurdish National Council in the European Union countries, and mechanisms for communication, advocacy and mobilizing support with the Kurdish community, to activate their role and effectiveness within the Council and in parallel with it.

It was also discussed how to activate the local Kurdish National Council in places of Kurdish presence abroad, and the steps that must be taken to communicate and coordinate with international organizations and events concerned with the defense of human rights.

The attendees stressed the main role that the Kurdish National Council plays in the ranks of the Syrian opposition, in a way that serves the interests of the Kurdish people in Syria and the Syrian revolution, and affirms the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria, and the importance of working to exploit these transformations and the international circumstances that exist at the present time to find a solution to the issue of the Kurdish people. As part of the diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Kurdish National Council with countries that have a direct connection to the issue of the Syrian people.

The attendees condemned the practices of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its militants in kidnapping members, cadres and supporters of the Kurdish National Council, and media professionals in Syrian Kurdistan. At the same time, it continues to kidnap minors and recruit them, which directly affects Kurdish immigration from Syrian Kurdistan.

In conclusion, Najah Hevo was elected head of the European Representative of the Kurdish National Council, and Abdul Karim Haji and Kendal Ramo were elected to the presidential office.
