ARK News… The Counter-Terrorism Foundation in the Kurdistan Region, on Sunday, August 6, 2023, announced the death of a military official in the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), as a result of a Turkish air strike that targeted a car, he was traveling in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

The counter-terrorism said in a statement that on Sunday, at 9:30, a Turkish army drone targeted a car of PKK militants in the (Aghjalar) district of Chamchamal district, as a result of which a military official was killed and another member was wounded.

This morning, Turkish drones launched an air strike targeting the "Aghjalar" district in the Chamchamal area of the Sulaymaniyah governorate.

Fires broke out in Mount Chinarto as a result of the bombing, as a result of which civil defense teams and forest police went to control the fire.
