The sun is shining on us on Wednesday, the first of April, the Yezidi (Kurdish) New Year on 19/04/2023, and Syria in general and the Kurdish people, including the Yezidis in particular, are still living with your family in fateful circumstances due to the control of the forces of evil and darkness on the joints of the political decision.
However, despite the tragedies and calamities that have passed, and are still going through, Syria and the Syrian people with all its components, for the past twelve years. We, in the Yezidi Council of Syria, look forward to this holy day as the first day of the Yezidi (Kurdish) year to a new hope to extend to all Yezidis in Syria and the world our best congratulations and blessings, and we pray to the Creator that goodness, peace prevails throughout beloved Syria and that the new year will be the year of freedom, democracy, and justice social for each component.
As long as we Yezidis consider the first Wednesday of April to be the feast of nature and man, and April as the month of the revival of fertility and renewal of life on earth, so we advance in this holy month to our Christian brothers of all denominations to congratulate them with the light of the Christ of peace and the glorious Easter.
We also extend, in advance, to all Muslim brothers who believe in peace and peaceful coexistence, our warmest congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
A new Kurdish (Yezidi) year that the Creator brought back to us and you and our people everywhere, especially in Afrin, Sere Kaniye, and Şengal, and they are confronting the culture of death with the culture of life with goodness.
