Launching the "200-meter road" project in Erbil

ARK News… The Governor of Erbil, Omid Khoshnaw, on Thursday announced the launch of the construction project for the "200-meter round highway" in the capital, Erbil, after the completion of the "150-meter round road" project.

Khoshnaw said in a statement to (BasNews): "The first three phases of the project to build a 150-meter round road in the capital, Erbil, have been completed successfully, and the fourth phase is scheduled to start in the near future, which will reduce the congestion inside the city, to be followed by the fifth and final phase of the project".

Noting that "the 150-meter round road is the sixth strategic road that surrounds the city in the form of a circle, and work began on it within five stages at a cost of $700 million, and its total length is 70 km."

Khoshnaw indicated that "after the completion of the (150-meter-al-round road) project, the implementation of the (200-meter-round road) highway project will begin in the capital, Erbil," noting that "the launch date for the implementation of the project has not been determined yet."

The main annual roads in the capital, Erbil, are roads of 30, 40, 60, and 100 meters, in addition to road 120, which was recently opened.
