ARK News… The British Ministry of Defense on Friday reported that Russia officially integrated separatist forces from the Lugansk and Donetsk regions into its army on December 31, 2022.

protracted war
About a month ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his army might fight in Ukraine for a long time, but he saw no reason to mobilize additional soldiers at this stage.

Putin also revealed at the time that Russia had deployed nearly half of the men recruited during the partial mobilization of reservists, some 150,000 soldiers, to Ukraine.

"Of the 300,000 of our mobilized fighters, our men and defenders of the homeland, 150,000 are in the area of operations," he said, adding that 77,000 are directly deployed in combat zones.

The inclusion of the four regions
On the other hand, the Russian President announced in September the annexation of four Ukrainian regions, while battles are taking place on an almost daily basis.

Last month, the Russian army was forced to withdraw from Kherson, the capital of the region of the same name, after retreating in September from northeastern Ukraine.
