ARK News… Alyona Verbitska, the advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that thousands of soldiers and civilians have gone missing in Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion of the country at the end of February.

"Russia has currently confirmed the presence of 3392 Ukrainian prisoners of war, but in Ukraine, it is considered about 15 thousand

People are missing, including many civilians."

Verbitska, who also works as an ombudsman for the rights of Ukrainian soldiers, said the fate of these people was not entirely certain.

"We don't know what happened to them," she added. “Are they also prisoners of war with Russia, where they were taken from Russian-occupied territories, or maybe they were killed long ago?”

Verbitska said this uncertainty was particularly difficult for relatives to bear.

The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly indicated that entire families, including children, are being transferred from the occupied territories to Russia.
