Putin said: We are ready to negotiate with all concerned parties about acceptable solutions, but it is up to them. We are not the ones who refuse to negotiate, but they are the ones who reject it.
The Russian President stressed during an interview with his country's official television, I believe that we are moving in the right direction, we are defending our national interests and the interests of our citizens and our people, and we have no other choice but to protect our citizens.
In addition, Putin accused Kyiv of provoking the conflict by carrying out military actions against civilians, which he described as "cruel", pointing out that his country was forced to defend them.
He pointed out that Moscow's only goal is to unite the Russian people, noting at the same time that the policy of Russia's opponents is based on the principle of "divide and rule."
