ARK News... A source on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, said that the city of Hasaka in Syrian Kurdistan has been suffering for months from a stifling crisis due to the lack of water, and civilians are fed up with the continued water cutoff from the city.

A source from Hasaka city told ARK: The city is witnessing continuous water cut-off from the residential neighborhoods, except that the crisis has been going on for years, but the city has been living in a state of water shortage and complete interruption for more than 85 days.

The source added: In light of the civilians' urgent need for water, the city is experiencing water cuts without finding solutions or alternatives to the crisis, and the people are forced to buy water at high prices. The price of filling a 1000-liter tank reaches ten thousand Syrian pounds, and one family needs to spend between 70-100 thousand Syrian pounds to buy drinking water for his home.

Civilians criticize the work of the estimated 28 humanitarian organizations working in the city and assert that they did not care about the suffering of the people and did not provide a single drop of water to the civilians living in the Kurdish neighborhoods.

Civilians demand the PYD administration find quick solutions and end the crisis. He also called on organizations to carry out their duties toward the people who are suffering greatly as a result of the ongoing crises that afflict them.
