Masrour Barzani Congratulates Successful Completion of Iraqi Parliamentary Elections

ARK News.. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, issued a statement on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, marking the conclusion of the federal parliamentary elections.

The full text of his statement reads: “By the grace of God, the voting process for the federal parliamentary elections has been successfully completed. I extend my sincere congratulations to the Iraqi people in general and the people of Kurdistan in particular, thanking them for participating in this electoral milestone and exercising their national rights and duties in choosing their representatives.

I also highly appreciate the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission and all security forces—including Asayish, police, and Peshmerga—for their responsible role in ensuring a safe and successful election process. I commend the work of all domestic and international observers for their assistance and meticulous monitoring of the voting process.

I hope that the voters’ voices will be respected and their trust preserved, and that the elected representatives will truly reflect the will of the people, faithfully fulfilling their national responsibilities by defending the constitutional rights of the people of Kurdistan, preserving the integrity of the region, and addressing the aspirations of all Iraqi citizens.

We seize this occasion to look forward to a new era of a democratic federal Iraq, where justice ensures all legitimate rights for our people. I hope the election results will contribute to improving the living standards and welfare of all Iraqi citizens, strengthen the position of the Kurdistan Region, and resolve pending issues between the region and the federal government in accordance with the constitution and signed agreements, with full respect for the region’s constitutional status.”
