Jian Omar is the first Kurd to be elected as a member of the parliament of the German state of Berlin
ARK News… Jian Omar Al-Kurdi, who was elected as a member of the parliament of the German state of Berlin, published on his page, that he and his electoral team managed to obtain a direct seat from the central Berlin district of the Berlin state parliament.
The Kurdish MP wrote, "This is the first time that we, as the German Green Party, have been able to snatch this seat from the Socialist Party of Germany (SPD) in this constituency, so yesterday night was a long and green night par excellence for us in this constituency."
Jian Omar thanked those who helped him to reach the parliamentary seat in the state of Berlin, where he said, "I thank you from the heart for the hundreds of messages of congratulations that I received from you. I have not yet been able to respond to all the messages, but I promise to respond to them successively as time permits."
