An armed group attacks the headquarters of the local council in Mabata town and arrests all its members

ARK News: A pro-Turkish armed group, about 300 of armed men, attacked on Monday morning 24.9.2018, the headquarters of the local council in Mabata town belonging to Kurdish Afrin and arrested all its members. They were also subjected to sever beaten, and all the contents of the headquarter exposed to breaking. Now they are subjecting to an investigation.

"300 armed elements of the pro-Turkish faction named (Jabhat el-Shamiya ) attacked this morning the headquarters of the local council of Mabata town, and arrested all its members, they subjected to sever beaten, and all the contents of the headquarters exposed to the cracker, without mentioning the reasons for that attack”, a special source from Mabata Town said.

The same source said that "the gunmen also arrested the Sheikh of the mosque, without mentioning the real reasons behind the attack, arrest and break the contents of the headquarter

This is not the first time that members of local councils in the Afrin region have been subjected to killing, beaten, arresting and kidnapping by the armed groups, especially members of the councils of the towns of Sheye, Mabata, and Shara, The deputy head of the local council in Sheye town, Ahmed Sheikho was subjected to severe torture, which resulted in his life as a martyr.

It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish army factions, which participated in occupation of the Afrin city, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its countrysides, such as killing, kidnapping, and torture, along with looting and theft, burning crops, and seize the property of citizens, and the destruction of monuments, Murder, and kidnapping for ransom have become a systematic behavior by all armed groups present on the soil of Afrin Kurdistan .
