ARK News… An informed Syrian Kurdish source, on Sunday, revealed that the presence of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Syria obstructs the dialogues between the Syrian Kurdish political parties, and contributes to aggravating the situation in Syrian Kurdistan, pointing out that Washington does not guarantee the exit of Kurdish workers from Syria.

The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, told (BasNews), “The ongoing dialogues between the parties of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS) and the Kurdish National Unity Parties (the largest of which is the Democratic Union Party (PYD)” have reached an advanced stage under American sponsorship, but the PKK's dominance over the institutions the administrative, political, and military administration of the self-management of the PYD in Syrian Kurdistan hinders reaching any agreement between the two parties.

Adding, "All the outstanding issues between the two parties are subject to agreement, with the exception of the file of disengagement between the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), because the PKK refuses to leave Syria."

The source pointed out, "The United States of America is a sponsor of the agreement and not a guarantor of it, and therefore it does not guarantee the exit of the PKK from Syria."

The source pointed out, "The Democratic Union Party aims, from behind the agreement, to reach international forums, and to form a Kurdish platform, because its association with PKK made it outside the internationally recognized political frameworks."

Stressing that "the domination of Kurdish workers over Syrian Kurdistan will cause the failure of the Kurdish dialogues in Syria and an excuse for a new Turkish invasion of Syrian Kurdistan and aggravate the Kurdish issue in the country."

As the source explained, "Kurdish Workers do not accept the return of the Syrian Peshmerga forces (Roj Peshmerga) unless they are under its control, and this matter is rejected by the Kurdish National Council (ENKS)."

It is noteworthy that one of the most important outstanding issues between the two Kurdish parties in Syria is the file of the disengagement between the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), and then the Compulsory Recruitment, Education, Social Contract, the fate of the detainees and the kidnapped, and the status of Roj Peshmerga forces.
