Russia is sending 25 thousand tons of wheat as aid to the Assad regime
ARK News.. The Grain Foundation affiliated with the Assad government, on Saturday said that Russia has sent (25) thousand tons of Russian wheat as aid to Syria.
A statement of the Foundation stated: "Yesterday evening, a ship loaded with twenty-five thousand tons of soft wheat was arrived at the port of Latakia as assistance from Russia to the Syrian people."
The General Manager of the Foundation, Youssef Qassem, said that the ship had started to be unloaded after it had been sterilized as a precaution in light of the current circumstances.
The government of the Syrian regime had announced earlier the cancellation of two tenders to import (400) thousand tons of soft Russian wheat, without explaining the reasons for the cancellation.
