On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria (KDPS), Party Secretary Mohammed Ismail issued a statement reaffirming the party’s proud legacy in defending the rights of the Kurdish people across both the Syrian and broader Kurdistanis landscapes, in line with the struggle led by the late Barzani and the leadership of President Masoud Barzani.

On the 68th Anniversary of Our Party’s Founding
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Esteemed Comrades, Members, Cadres, and Supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria,
To the Masses of Our Kurdish People,
Peace be upon you all.
On this glorious occasion—the 68th anniversary of the founding of our resilient party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria—I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you all. May this anniversary return upon us and upon our Kurdish people with the fulfillment of our long-sought aspirations for freedom, dignity, and legitimate national rights within a democratic, federal Syria that respects the dignity of all its components.
Sixty-eight years have passed since the launch of our party on June 14, 1957, when the first pioneers—whom we honor today—gathered under the banner of Kurdish identity, guided by the values and principles of the immortal Barzani legacy: sincerity, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to both national and patriotic causes.
Our journey has been filled with challenges and hardships, yet we have never strayed from the path of legitimate and peaceful struggle. Despite repression, arrests, and attempts at marginalization and denial, we endured. We stood tall in the face of oppression, rejected subordination and division, and remained steadfast in our belief that Kurdish unity is the key to victory and that our national cause is not up for compromise.
Our party has consistently taken honorable positions in defense of our people's rights in both the Syrian and broader Kurdistanis arenas, aligned with the struggle of our brethren in Iraqi Kurdistan—foremost among them, His Excellency President Masoud Barzani. We have worked to strengthen ties of Kurdish-Arab-Syriac-Assyrian brotherhood and solidarity among all components of Syria. We have clung to the original nationalist path of the immortal Barzani, who believed that the Kurdish people deserve life, freedom, and the defense of their identity against all attempts at erasure.
On this occasion, we honor the souls of our righteous martyrs and bow in gratitude before their sacrifices. We renew our pledge to continue along their path. We also salute all those who have stood with us and believed in the justice of our cause, from Kurdish and Syrian national forces to our friends around the world.
Finally, we call upon all our people and national Kurdish forces to unify ranks, prioritize the supreme national interest, and work together to constitutionally secure the rights of our people within a democratic state that ensures justice and equality for all its citizens.
Long live our Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria.
Long live the immortal Barzani legacy.
Long live the struggle of our Kurdish people.

جماهير شعبنا الكردي،
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
في هذه الذكرى المجيدة، الذكرى الثامنة والستين لتأسيس حزبنا المناضل، الحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني – سوريا، أتقدم إليكم جميعاً بأحر التهاني والتبريكات، راجياً أن تعود هذه المناسبة علينا وشعبنا الكردي وقد تحقق ما يصبو إليه من حرية وكرامة وحقوق قومية مشروعة، في إطار سوريا ديمقراطية اتحادية تحفظ كرامة كل مكوناتها.
ثمانية وستون عاماً مضت منذ انطلاق شرارة حزبنا في 14 حزيران عام 1957، يوم اجتمع الروّاد الأوائل والذين نعتز بهم حاملين راية الكرد، ومستندين إلى قيم ومبادئ نهج البارزاني الخالد، نهج الإخلاص، والتضحية، والثبات على الموقف القومي والوطني.
لقد كانت مسيرتنا النضالية مليئة بالتحديات، محفوفة بالصعوبات، لم نحد فيها عن درب النضال السلمي والمشروع، رغم حملات القمع والاعتقال، ومحاولات التهميش والإنكار. عبرنا محطات شاقة، ووقفنا شامخين في وجه الظلم، رافضين التبعية والانقسام، ومؤمنين أن وحدة الصف الكردي مفتاح النصر، وأن قضيتنا القومية لا تقبل المساومة أو التفريط.
لقد سطّر حزبنا مواقف مشرفة في الدفاع عن حقوق شعبنا، في الساحة السورية والكردستانية، منسجماً مع نضال إخوتنا في كردستان العراق وفي المقدمة منهم فخامة الرئيس مسعود بارزاني ، ومعززاً لعلاقات الأخوة الكردية – العربية – السريانية الآشورية وجميع مكونات سوريا... وتمسكنا بالنهج القومي الأصيل للبارزاني الخالد، الذي آمن بأن الكرد شعب يستحق الحياة، والحرية، والدفاع عن هويته ووجوده في وجه كل محاولات الطمس والإنكار.

Details of the Israeli Strike on Iran
ARK News.. In the early hours of Friday, June 13, 2025, Israel launched a wide-scale assault targeting key nuclear and military sites across Iran, including the Natanz facility near Tehran. The strikes resulted in the deaths of several top Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed that Israel would face a “bitter and painful fate.”
Iranian state media confirmed the deaths of Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, IRGC Commander Hussein Salami, and senior IRGC official Ghulam Ali Rashid. Additionally, two nuclear scientists were reported killed, and at least 50 others—among them women and children—were injured.
The Iranian state broadcaster reported multiple Israeli airstrikes on the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, Iran’s central site for nuclear development. Broadcast footage showed heavy smoke rising from the site, with repeated mentions that Natanz had been hit several times.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that Natanz had been targeted and said it was closely monitoring the situation.
Iranian media also reported that Israeli strikes hit three military installations in East Azerbaijan province, in northwestern Iran.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the initial strikes “highly successful.” In a televised statement, he said the Friday morning operation struck “the heart” of Iran’s nuclear program and would continue “for as many days as needed.”
“We struck the core of Iran’s uranium enrichment program. We struck the core of Iran’s military nuclear project. We targeted key ballistic missile infrastructure and scientists involved in Iran’s bomb-making efforts,” Netanyahu stated.
Iran has declared that it reserves the right to retaliate, placing full blame on the United States for the consequences of what it called “an act of war.” The Iranian Foreign Ministry accused Washington of complicity, saying such an attack could not have happened without U.S. coordination or approval.
Ayatollah Khamenei issued a strong statement to the Iranian people, condemning Israel’s “bloody aggression,” which he said targeted residential areas and exposed the regime’s “malicious nature more clearly than ever.”
“A number of our commanders and scientists have been martyred, but their successors will continue their mission immediately, God willing,” Khamenei said. “With this crime, the Zionist regime has sealed its fate with bitterness and pain, and it will inevitably pay the price.”
The attack comes amid faltering U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations, which began in mid-April but have since stalled due to disagreements over uranium enrichment.
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to convene a National Security Council meeting in response to the developments. Washington has denied any involvement in the Israeli strikes.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that Israel informed the U.S. in advance, justifying the operation as an act of self-defense. “Our priority remains the protection of American forces in the region,” Rubio said, warning Iran against targeting U.S. interests.

Ahmad al-Sharaa Survives Two Assassination Attempts
ARK News.. A Lebanese-French newspaper has revealed that the Syrian President has survived two assassination attempts since assuming office in December 2025.
According to L’Orient-Le Jour, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa has been the target of at least two assassination attempts since taking power in December 2025.
The newspaper, citing diplomatic sources, reported that one of the attempts took place in March, while the second occurred roughly two weeks ago.
It confirmed that the attempts were orchestrated by jihadist groups, including the so-called Islamic State (ISIS).
One diplomatic source told the paper that “ISIS is trying to rally fighters from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham who oppose the reforms introduced by President al-Sharaa.”
Earlier, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy to Syria, Tom Barak, warned of serious threats targeting President al-Sharaa due to his efforts to involve Syria’s various communities and open up to the West.
He noted that extremist factions may seek to assassinate him in order to derail the country’s new political path.

Arrest of Several Terrorism Court Judges in Syria
ARK News.. A Syrian human rights source reported that Syrian authorities have arrested a number of judges from terrorism courts following their summons by the Minister of Justice to review the progress of work.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 18 judges have been identified among those arrested. Their assets and funds have also been seized. So far, Syrian authorities have not issued any official statement regarding these developments or the reasons behind the arrests.
The source clarified that several of the detained terrorism court judges played a key role in issuing harsh sentences against hundreds of Syrians over the past years, including political activists, opposition members, and civilians accused of “collaborating with hostile entities” or “spreading false news damaging the prestige of the state.”

U.S. Central Command Announces Killing of ISIS Official Based in Syria
ARK News.. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the killing of a senior ISIS leader following a precision airstrike carried out by its forces in northwestern Syria.
In a statement, CENTCOM said: “On June 10, U.S. Central Command forces conducted a precision airstrike in northwest Syria that resulted in the death of Rahim Buyev, an ISIS official based in Syria who was involved in planning external operations threatening U.S. citizens, our partners, and civilians.”
CENTCOM added: “This airstrike is part of the U.S. Central Command’s ongoing commitment, alongside our regional partners, to disrupt and thwart terrorist efforts to plan, organize, and execute attacks against U.S. forces and our allies.”

Landmines and Lack of Infrastructure Main Obstacles to Syrian Refugees' Return
ARK News.. Syria’s Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed al-Saleh, confirmed that the widespread presence of landmines and the absence of infrastructure are among the primary obstacles preventing the return of Syrian refugees and internally displaced persons to their homes.
According to a statement from the ministry on Thursday, al-Saleh met with a delegation from the European Union Mission to discuss the main challenges hindering the safe return of displaced Syrians.
During the meeting, the minister presented the ministry’s vision for launching a comprehensive national plan for mine clearance in cooperation with international partners. He also emphasized the need to establish a detailed database to document affected areas and set reconstruction priorities.
Both sides stressed the importance of coordinating efforts and strengthening partnerships to support response programs, enhance stability opportunities, and protect civilians.

الألغام وغياب البنى التحتية أبرز العوائق أمام عودة اللاجئين السوريين
أكد وزير الطوارئ والكوارث السوري أن انتشار الألغام وغياب البنى التحتية يشكلان أبرز العوائق أمام عودة اللاجئين والمهجرين السوريين إلى ديارهم.
قالت وزارة الطوارئ والكوارث السورية أن وزير الطوارئ والكوارث السوري رائد الصالح بحث مع وفد بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي، الخميس، أبرز العوائق أمام عودة اللاجئين والمهجرين السوريين.
وحسب المصدر أن الوزير الصالح استعرض رؤية الوزارة لإطلاق خطة وطنية متكاملة لإزالة الألغام بالتعاون مع الشركاء الدوليين، وإنشاء قاعدة بيانات دقيقة توثق المناطق المتأثرة وتحدد أولويات إعادة الإعمار.
وأشار إلى أن انتشار الألغام وغياب البنى التحتية يشكلان أبرز العوائق أمام عودة اللاجئين والمهجرين السوريين.
وشدد الجانبان على أهمية تنسيق الجهود وتفعيل الشراكات لدعم برامج الاستجابة وتعزيز فرص الاستقرار وحماية المدنيين.

اعتقال عدد من قضاة محاكم الإرهاب في سوريا
أفادت مصدر حقوقي سوري أن السلطات السورية اعتقلت عدد من قضاة محاكم الإرهاب، وذلك بعد استدعائهم من قبل وزير العدل لمتابعة سير العمل.
وفق المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان، فقد عرف 18 قاضيا من بين المعتقلين، كما تم الحجز على ممتلكاتهم وأموالهم، ولم تصدر السلطات السورية أي تعليق رسمي حتى الآن بشأن هذه التطورات أو أسباب الاعتقال.
وأوضح المصدر أن عدد من قضاة محكمة الإرهاب المعتقلين لعبوا دوراً أساسياً في إصدار أحكام مشددة بحق مئات السوريين خلال السنوات الماضية، بمن فيهم نشطاء سياسيون ومعارضون ومدنيون اتُّهموا بالتعامل مع جهات "معادية للدولة" أو بـ"نشر أخبار كاذبة تمس هيبة الدولة".

الحكومة السورية تحدد أسعار شراء القمح
أعلنت وكالة الأنباء السورية أن وزارة الاقتصاد والصناعة في سوريا حددت أسعار شراء القمح وفق الدرجات والنوعية وشروط لهذا العام.
وفق الوكالة، حددت وزارة الاقتصاد والصناعة في سوريا أسعار شراء الطن الواحد من مادة القمح للعام الحالي بقيمة 320 دولارًا للنوع القاسي درجة أولى، و300 دولار للنوع الطري درجة أولى معبأ بأكياس أو دوكما، المسلمة لمراكز ومستودعات المؤسسة السورية للحبوب ولجان التسويق التابعة لها ومواقع الصوامع في المحافظات.
وحسب المصدر، تضمن قرار الوزارة أسعار القمح وفق الدرجات والنوعية، حيث تم تحديد سعر طن القمح القاسي درجة ثانية بـ 315 دولارًا، ودرجة ثالثة بـ 310 دولارات، وطن القمح الطري درجة ثانية بـ 295 دولارًا، ودرجة ثالثة بـ 290 دولارًا.
كما وتضمن القرار مجموعة من شروط استلام وتسعير القمح المتعلقة بنسب الأجرام والشوائب والحصى والأتربة، إضافة إلى نسبة التعفن والحبات المتلونة والمنخورة التي ستنعكس زيادة نسبتها على تدني درجة القمح وانخفاض سعره بنسب متفاوتة.
