Qamishli: Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Farhad Sabri

ARK News… In Qamishli, Syrian Kurdistan, the family of martyr Farhad Mohammed Ali commemorated his 20th anniversary of martyrdom, on Monday, April 8, 2024.

The commemoration ceremony took place at the Mahmaqiye Cemetery north of Qamishlo, attended by several political, national, and intellectual figures, along with representatives from local councils of the Kurdish National Council.

The family expressed gratitude to the attendees for their "loyalty to the martyrs," emphasizing that martyr Farhad "is not just a martyr of the family but a martyr of the Kurdish nation."

Farhad Mohammed Sabri, a young man, was martyred in a prison in Hasakah after nine days of beatings and torture, following his arrest by Syrian regime intelligence in Qamishlo for his active participation in aiding the wounded and martyrs during the March 12, 2004 uprising in Syrian Kurdistan.
