A statement from Muhammad Ismail to ARK about the content of the ENKS meeting in Qamishlo

ARK News… The Kurdish National Council in Syria held a meeting in the city of Qamishlo, Syrian Kurdistan, on September 10, 2023.

Muhammad Ismail, secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, said in a special statement to ARK, "The meeting discussed the latest developments in the region, and the conferees renewed the mandate of the current members of the Presidency to continue their duties."

Ismail added that "the situation in Syria and files related to the Syrian crisis were discussed, in addition to the violations in Afrin and Serê kaniyê."

He continued, "The meeting focused on the recent demonstrations in As-Suwayda and the reactions related to the events in Deir Ezzor, in addition to the Syrian regime's return to the Arab League, and many other files."

He stressed that "the Kurdish National Council is in solidarity with the pain and tragedies of the people, and there are serious efforts for the consequent activation of the work mechanism and the intensification of efforts politically and organizationally."

In his last speech, he said, "In addition to assigning the current members of the Presidency to continue their duties, representatives of the Women's Office and the Legal Office of the Kurdish National Council in Syria were elected."
