ARK News… The municipality of the French capital, Paris, named the Kurdish girl from Iranian Kurdistan, Jenna Amini, who was killed by Iranian police last year, “Vilmin” Park, located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, in memory of her.

The Kurdish girl had fallen into a coma due to being arrested and severely beaten last year, after she had been arrested by the so-called “morals” police in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on charges of “poorly wearing the hijab” before she died in the hospital 3 days later.

The death of Jina Amini while in police custody sparked a wave of protests across Iran, and led to an outpouring of national anger against the authorities in this country that lasted for more than a year, and the authorities responded to it with excessive force that left dozens dead and hundreds wounded in various Iranian cities and provinces, especially in the cities of eastern Kurdistan.
