The high price of bread burdens the citizens of Qamishlo
ARK News... Coinciding with the decline in the price of the Syrian pound against the US dollar food prices, on Thursday, July 20, 2023, rose in an unprecedented way in the markets of Syrian Kurdistan.
Local sources reported that the price of tourist bread increased from 2,500 SP to 3,500 SP, while the price of automatic bread increased from 500 SP to 1,000 SP in the city of Qamishlo.
Citizens in Syrian Kurdistan suffer from the instability of food prices and their continuous rise due to the record drop in the price of the Syrian pound against the US dollar on the one hand, and the lack of balance between citizens' income and prices on the other hand.
