The father of a young man from Qamishlo, who is detained in Baghdad, reveals to ARK the details of his arrest

ARK News… The father of a Kurdish citizen from Syrian Kurdistan said that his son has been detained in Baghdad for 4 months, and there is no clear charge against him.

Ramadan Muhammad Hussein said in a special statement to ARK: His son, Muhammad Ramadan Muhammad Hussein, born in 1987, has been detained in Baghdad for 4 months, and so far, all attempts to release him have failed.

Ramadan Muhammad Hussein confirmed that his son resides in the Domiz camp, holding the residency of the Kurdistan Region and the United Nations "UN" form, and he is married to an Iraqi woman from Duhok Governorate.

Ramadan Muhammad Hussein added: My son was arrested during a visit to one of his wife's uncles outside the borders of the Kurdistan Region. Saying: While attending my son's court in Baghdad, it became clear to me that there are 35 Kurds detained in Iraqi government prisons in Baghdad, including women and children.

The young man hails from the city of Qamishlo in Syrian Kurdistan, and his fate, like the fate of hundreds of Kurdish youths, is unknown in Iraqi prisons.
