ARK News... The official website of the "Syrian Interim Government" published a visual statement by the Minister of Justice in the government, Judge "Habboush Latta", which included a media statement about taking decisions and judicial procedures regarding those involved in the Newroz night crime in Jenderes, Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan.

Latta said, "The case of the murder crime is pending before the military courts, and a decision was issued recently by the military investigation judge, including the accusation of 5 defendants with the crimes of premeditated murder and complicity in a premeditated murder."

He added, "The decision also included the suspicion of 5 of the defendants with two misdemeanors of concealing a person accused of a felony and possession of a no licensable weapon." He pointed out that "the entire case has now been considered before the Military Criminal Court, due to the lack of a legal referral judge in the military court."

He stated that "the trial is public, and anyone can attend the courtroom on his own and hear the litigation procedures in it," and that the people who were arrested are still detained in favor of the case, stressing "the government's keenness on litigation procedures in this case."

In a heinous racist incident, the gunmen of the Jaysh Al Sharqiya fired live bullets at Kurdish civilians from the Peshmerg family in the city of Jenderes in the countryside of Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan, on the night of the National Day of Newroz, March 20, 2023.

This came after Newroz fires were lit in front of their house in Jenderes, and live bullets were fired by the gunmen of the Jaysh Al Sharqiya to commit a massacre in Jenderes, in which four innocent Kurdish civilians were killed.

Because of the massacre, massive and angry demonstrations took place, calling for the removal of all armed factions from the cities, villages, and towns in Afrin, and the handover of their administration to the indigenous Kurdish population.

On the second day, tens of thousands of residents of the Afrin region in Syrian Kurdistan, March 21, 2023, corresponding to the Kurdish New Year and the National Day of Newroz, mourned the bodies of the martyrs. The mourners chanted at the funeral, which turned into mass protest demonstrations against the armed factions, calling for the removal of all armed men and an end to the bloodshed and the violations against the Kurds there.

The mourners raised banners, reading: Five years of oppression, injustice, and demographic change, no to killing Kurdish civilians, the killers from the Jaysh Al Sharqiya must be held accountable and expelled from Afrin, we demand an end to the crimes and finding radical solutions for the region.

The headquarters of Barzani, the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament, the Kurdish National Council in Syria, and Kurdish and Arab political parties issued statements of denunciation calling for justice and accountability for the perpetrators and killers, and bringing them to justice and trial.
