Masrour Barzani: Let us use the Kurdish language more, and I will start with myself, and I will tweet more in Kurdish
ARK News...The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, congratulated the Kurds and the national components in Kurdistan on International Mother Language Day.
The prime minister wrote in a tweet on his Twitter account: "I congratulate all the Kurdistanis and the national components in Kurdistan on the International Mother Language Day."
"It is our duty to protect and develop the mother tongue," he added.
He added, "Let us use the Kurdish language more on the communication sites. I will start with myself, and from today I will tweet more in Kurdish."
All peoples of the world, including the Kurdish people, celebrated on February 21 of each year the International Mother Language Day, in order to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
It was decided to allocate that day during the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" in November of 1999.
