ARK News… The US Treasury Department on Thursday announced that it is taking joint action with Turkey against a network it said played a major role in managing, transferring, and distributing funds for the benefit of the Islamic State, which is active in Iraq and Syria.

The Treasury Department said in a statement that Turkey had frozen the assets of members of the network, who were also added to the US sanctions list, according to the Reuters news agency.

It added that among those subject to sanctions are an Iraqi citizen residing illegally in Turkey, his two sons, and two companies that worked to transfer money on behalf of ISIS between Turkey, Iraq, and Syria.
