Before assuming her position, Moscow gives advice to the new American ambassador

ARK News… The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the new US ambassador to Moscow, Lynn Tracy, not to interfere in internal Russian affairs under any cover, and advised her not to repeat the mistakes of her predecessors.

The director of the North American Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Darchev, said that Moscow recommends the new US ambassador not to interfere in internal affairs, under the guise of "civil society" work.

Darchev also called on the new ambassador to take into account the mistakes of her predecessors, "one of them started badly, since starting his work."

Darchev pointed out that the interference in Russia's internal affairs under the guise of working with "civil society" immediately turned that character into a pariah, adding that "the new ambassador will not be advised to follow this wrong path."

On December 21, the US Senate approved the appointment of Lynn Tracy as US ambassador to Moscow, and 55 out of 100 members of the House of Representatives supported her candidacy.

Last September, John Sullivan ended his duties as US ambassador to Moscow, and said that the reason behind that was the death of his wife, who had been fighting cancer for a long time, and then Elizabeth Root was appointed as the interim head of the US diplomatic mission.

Lynn Tracy worked in Russia from 2014 to 2017, during this period she was the former deputy US ambassador to Moscow John Tifton, and until the fall of 2022 Tracy was the US ambassador to Armenia.
