Counter-terrorism in Kurdistan: 25 air strikes, killing 32 militants

The Counter-Terrorism Service in the Kurdistan Region, on Sunday, confirmed that the air strikes launched by Turkey since last night in the mountains of the Kurdistan Region and Syrian Kurdistan have so far killed and injured dozens of militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the People's Protection Units (YPG).

The agency said in a statement: "According to the information received, the operation launched by the Turkish army at dawn on Sunday against PKK militants in southern and western Kurdistan resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of militants."

The statement indicated that "the Turkish army launched more than 25 air raids on PKK and YPG sites in Hasakah, Aleppo countryside, Raqqa, and Kobani in western Kurdistan, and the villages of Mawat district, Qandil slopes, Mount Kortek, Mount Assos, and the Bradost region, in which 32 YPG and PKK militants were killed so far, and several others were wounded.”
