Russia and China vote against the IAEA resolution on Ukraine

ARK News… Russia and China voted against the International Atomic Energy Agency's resolution on Ukraine's nuclear security, in which the agency confirmed that no evidence of Ukraine's development of a "dirty bomb" had been discovered.

A statement from the Russian mission to the IAEA said, "The IAEA Board of Governors, during its meeting on November 17, adopted an unprofessionally prepared resolution, which goes beyond the agency's mandate and contains real errors, on issues of nuclear security, nuclear physical security, and safeguards in Ukraine ".

"This is another step towards politicizing the work of the IAEA," the mission added.

The Russian mission expressed its satisfaction at the lack of support for this resolution by "the countries where the majority of humanity lives," noting that Russia and China voted against the resolution and that Vietnam, Kenya, India, Namibia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa abstained.

The IAEA's decision confirmed that inspectors, who visited three sites in Ukraine, "discovered no evidence of undeclared nuclear activities or material related to the development of a 'dirty bomb'".
