ARK News… Mohammed Ismail revealed the content of the agreement between the Kurdish National Council in Syria and the Kurdish National Unity Parties on the issue of education in Syrian Kurdistan.

During his participation in the “Civat” program, Mohammed Ismail, head of the negotiating delegation of ENKS, said: What has been discussed about the issue of education in Syrian Kurdistan between the two parties to the Kurdish-Kurdish talks is that the Kurdish citizen in Syrian Kurdistan is free to choose the curriculum that his son or daughter wants to learn during the school year. (2020-2021), and for the next academic year, the two parties will agree on the curriculum adopted in Syrian Kurdistan.

Mohammed Ismail added: The Kurdish National Council in Syria has not requested that the study in the Kurdish language be canceled, the "mother tongue" of the Kurdish people for which the Kurdish movement in Syria has fought for decades, but education is a popular demand and the future of the emerging generation in Syrian Kurdistan must be secured educationally, and that the certificate he obtains is internationally recognized.

Mohammed Ismail confirmed the claims of the opposite party to the talks that the Kurdish National Council in Syria called for the return of the Syrian regime’s curriculum, which is unfounded, and with this claim, they are fleeing the main issues, and they want to make a secondary case to replace main issues.

Ismail added, saying: The curriculum subjects that are taught are not specific to the Syrian regime. Rather, they are a state curriculum and internationally recognized, so (mathematics, chemistry, physics, science) is not specific to the regime.
