A fan told ARK News that two players from the Afrin club were beaten, while the team and its fans were subjected to the ugliest insults, profanity, and vulgar words.

The athletes commented on the events that took place in the match as a great injustice suffered by the Afrin sports team, especially after two suspicious goals were counted in favor of the Al Tadhamin team.
Activists likened these events to the events that led to the uprising in 2004 after the systematic assault on the Jihad team (Qamishlo) by the regime's security and supporters of the Al Fituwa team (Deir Ezzor).
