The international coalition supplies the Peshmerga with military equipment that support "two goals"

ARK News.. The US-led international coalition announced that it would equip the Peshmerga forces with equipment that would support two targets for the Kurdish forces.

The Peshmerga are the official armed forces of the Kurdistan Region, and have played a decisive role in the war against ISIS over the past years.

Peshmerga have been training by advisers from the International Alliance since 2014, and they have always pledged continued support and advice to the Kurdish forces.

The international coalition said in a statement that it had recently equipped the Peshmerga with 23 containers, including military uniforms and barbed wire, as part of the program to finance the supply of equipment to combat ISIS.

The equipment was delivered at the Erbil Air Force Base five days ago.

The statement added that the equipment included various items of clothes, shoes, socks, pants, and coats, as well as gloves of various sizes.

"This equipment helps the Peshmerga to be more effective against ISIS and supports the goals of reform of the Peshmerga Ministry," the international coalition said in its statement.

The Peshmerga, according to the Iraqi constitution, are part of the defense system for Iraq, but they have often been neglected and marginalized by the federal government.
