A German court sentences a Syrian refugee to prison for war crime

ARK News.. A German court, on Thursday 13 February 2020, sentenced a Syrian refugee to three and a half years in prison for war crimes in Syria, in addition to another crime in Germany.
The Supreme Regional Court in the western German city of Koblentz said that the Syrian suspect (Qasim Ahmed 34 years old) took a picture with the severed head of a regime forces soldier during the battles in Syria.
The court made it clear that the penalty listed for a war crime alone is one and a half years in prison.
