Local councils of the Kurdish National Council meet in Qamishlo

ARK News: The local councils of the Kurdish National Council in Syria held their regular meeting on Thursday 05. December 2019, in the presence of Mohsen Taher, head of the local council's affairs office.

The meeting started with a minute's silence on the souls of the Kurd and Kurdistan martyrs, led by the immortal Barzani, then the organizational situation was talked about, where the reports which received from the local councils were read and responded to and the heads of the local councils were informed of the decisions issued by the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria.

The role of local councils among the masses was also emphasized in the current circumstances, especially after the Turkish attack and its mercenary factions on Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi.

In the political situation: The Syrian situation was discussed in general, and the Kurdish one in particular, then Mohsen Taher spoke about the latest political developments, which centered around several key points:

- The Turkish attack and its affiliated factions on Sri Kaniye and Kari Spi in Syrian Kurdistan.

- The Turkish attack and its affiliated factions on Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi in Syrian Kurdistan.

- The US-Turkish and Russian-Turkish agreement to stop the fighting in Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi

- The continuous violations by the mercenary factions backed by Turkey against the Kurdish citizen in Afrin, Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi from killing, looting, destruction, and displacement in order to demographic change.

- The diplomatic efforts of the Kurdish National Council in Syria regarding the updates and developments and international and regional agreements on the Syrian scene and Syrian Kurdistan.

- The meeting of His Excellency President Masoud Barzani and President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, with the Presidency in the Kurdish National Council in Syria.

- Meetings of the Presidency in the Kurdish National Council in Syria and representatives of the Council in the Constitutional Committee and the negotiating and coalition in Erbil.

- At the end of the meeting, Taher praised in his name and in the name of the heads of local councils the role and efforts of President Masoud Barzani and the President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, who support the cause of the Kurdish people in Syria and their support in all international meetings and forums.

Taher also thanked the Barzani Charity Foundation for providing humanitarian assistance to the displaced people of Syrian Kurdistan refugees in camps in the Kurdistan Region and for delivering humanitarian aid to the Syrian Kurdistan for the displaced of Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi.
