The European Champions League is in solidarity with the victims of the earthquake in Syria and Turkey
ARK News… The clubs that competed on Tuesday evening in the first leg of the final price of the European Champions League, stood in solidarity with the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck northwestern Syria and southern Turkey last week.
In Paris, the players of Paris Saint-Germaine and Bayern Munich, as well as thousands of fans, observed a minute of silence for the souls of the earthquake victims, in the implementation of the instructions of the European Football Association.
In the second match, which brought together the Italian clubs AC Milan and Totten Ham Hotspur, the clamor of the San Siro stadium turned into complete silence, as boys carried a banner that read in Arabic and Turkish: “We are all with you,” as the players descended to the field.
The European Football Association (UEFA) announced earlier that it had donated 200,000 euros in principle to help the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey.
UEFA President Alexander Schifrin said: "This initial donation comes as a rapid humanitarian response, offering assistance to this appalling tragedy."

UNICEF: More than 7 million children were affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey
ARK News… The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) confirmed that more than seven million children were affected in Syria and Turkey as a result of the devastating earthquake that struck the two countries last week.
According to the organization, the total number of affected children is still unclear, but preliminary estimates indicate that 4.6 million children live in the ten Turkish provinces hit by the earthquake, and more than 2.5 million children in Syria were affected.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said: “Children and families in Turkey and Syria are facing unimaginable hardship in the aftermath of these devastating earthquakes. We must do everything we can to ensure that everyone who survives this disaster receives life-saving support.”
UNICEF indicated that it is also working to ensure that children return to education as soon as possible, as the organization is assessing the damage to schools and making preparations for immediate repairs, and establishing temporary learning spaces.
In a related context, the United Nations Education cannot wait fund announced its first grant for the Syria emergency response of $7 million, and called on world leaders to provide similar funds at a high-level financing conference scheduled for later this week.
According to the fund, the grant will provide access to temporary safe spaces, psychosocial support and well-being for children and teachers, and other forms of comprehensive educational support for children affected by the earthquake. The funding also provides a broader framework for donors to support the response in Syria, similar to the methods being deployed in Ukraine.

الهزة الأرضية التي ضربت مناطق عديدة من سوريا وتركيا، وأغلب الضحايا من المدنيين ومعظمهم سوريون، زادت من معاناتهم فوق ما كانوا يعانون، هذه المأساة أظهرت من جديد أن السوريين ما زالوا وحيدين في مواجهة الصعاب، ومع هذا التكاتف السوري لأخيه السوري في هذه المحنة أثبتت أن ليس للشعب السوري حليف سوى بعضهم البعض، العربي والكوردي والعلوي والآشوري والدرزي، كلهم سوريون ولا يجب التفريق بينهم.
رغم أن هذه المأساة حدثُ جاء من الطبيعة، وحالة إنسانية بحتة بعيدة عما كان يروجونه منذ بداية الأزمة السورية الصلة بين السوري والإرهابي، لم نرَ أي بوادر للمساعدة إلا بعد فوات الأوان، أي بعد أن أظهر العالم الوجه الحقيقي البشع في التفريق بالإنسانية، فقط جاء بصيص أمل من جهة غير معرّف كدولة، وهو إقليم كوردستان، الذي قدَّم قافلة مؤلفة من سيارات إسعاف وآليات ثقيلة ومواد طبية ومواد غذائية ومعدات لوجستية، وهي الجهة الوحيدة التي سبقت المجتمع الدولي بالدخول إلى الشمال السوري ومناطق عفرين وجنديرس، حتى النظام السوري الذي يعتبر نفسه الأب الحنون حسب ادعاءاته لم يرف له جفن من هول الدمار الذي لحق بتلك المناطق، بل على العكس بدأ يتاجر بدماء السوريين كما فعله في السابق.
يلاحظ أنه مع كل مصاب يحلَّ بالسوريين، نظراتهم تتجه نحو الخارج أي نحو المجتمع الدولي كي يكون لهم العون ويد الأمان في محنهم، ولكنهم يصطدمون بحائط التفريق والنفاق والخداع، فمنذ بداية الأزمة السورية، وهم ينتظرون الأمل من المجتمع الدولي، والآن وهم تحت كارثة الزلزال أيضاً يأملون المساعدة ومد يد العون منهم، ولكن حتى في هذه الكارثة أيضا تتدخل السياسة وتلعب لعبتها دون الاكتراث إلى هول الفاجعة الإنسانية وآهات من هم تحت الأنقاض وهم يطلبون النجدة وإخراجهم إلى جانب الآلاف من المصابين جراء الزلزال وهم في العراء دون رعاية تذكر سوى بعض الإسعافات الأولية رغم أن جروح معظمهم خطيرة، وكذلك مَن نَجوا من الزلزال يلتحفون السماء غطاء لهم وأوراق الشجر غذاء لسد جوعهم، أحياء ومدن كاملة دُمرت بـ مَنْ فيها مِن ساكنيها. أمّا في الطرف المقابل الذي حدث فيه نفس الكارثة، استنفر العالم وأرسل المعدات والأجهزة والمساعدات، وكأنَّ الذين في سوريا ليسوا من فصيلة الإنسان وكأنَّ الإنسانية في نظرهم لها فروع، نعم لها فروع في نظرهم، الشعوب الفقيرة لا يعتبرونهم بشر بل عبيد وغلمان وعند الحاجة يطلبونهم وعند انتهائها يلقونهم إلى الهاوية.
فقط وكما قلنا في البداية، بصيص أمل جاء من جهة حتى الآن تُعتبر نصف دولة وبرعاية حكيمها، وهو إقليم كوردستان وحكيمها الرئيس مسعود البارزاني، الذي لا يتوانى في تقديم ما يمكن تقديمه من مساعدة لأيٍّ كان، وذلك يأتي من قناعته بالتسامح والمحبة والمساعدة من أجل الإنسانية التي يمكن الوصول إليها إن ابتعدنا عن السياسة والمصالح المرتبطة بها، أرسل قافلة إلى السوريين دون النظر إلى عرق ودين بل كانت نظرته نحو اعتبار الإنسانية واحدة وإخوة لا فرق بين سوري وتركي وعراقي وكوردي.
السياسة مهما علت شأنها في سوق المصالح الدولية يجب أن تتوقف عند الحالة الإنسانية، وخاصة عندما تكون مأساة بحجم ما تتعرض له المناطق السورية من كارثة زلزالية فاقت التصورات الإنسانية، كانت مأساة حقيقية فاقت كل المآسي التي حدثت في العالم، ليس لأنه لم تحصل مثل هكذا زلزال، بل لأن المأساة حصلت في منطقة تعتبر هشّة من حيث الإمكانيات ولأن المنطقة في الأساس كانت تعاني من مأساة الأزمة السورية المستمرّة منذ عقد وربع.
أكثر مشهد أثار وجداني ووجدان كل ضمير حي هو المرأة التي فارق روحها الجسد وفي نفس الوقت خرجت من جسدها روح جديدة، عندما وجد المنقذون امرأة حامل تحت الأنقاض مفارقة الحياة وبجانبها طفل ولد من جديد وما زال الحبل السري للطفل معلق بجسد أمه المتوفاة منذ عشر ساعات.
آه يا جسداً أبى الرحيل دون أن يُبقي أمانة في هذه الحياة، آه أيها الطفل، أي أمانة أنت، أمانة ثقيلة، توازي ثقل الجبال، في بحر هائج يجمع فاقدي الضمير والإنسانية، أيمكن أن تكون محرك الضمائر؟ آمل ذلك، رغم أنني فقدت الثقة بالضمير العالمي، أيمكن أن تكون أيها الطفل الرسالة التي عنوانها، أنا هنا لأذكركم أيها السوريين يا أهلي وأحبابي، لا فائدة من معاداة وكره بعضكم البعض، ليس لكم أحد سواكم، ضعوا أيديكم في أيدي بعض، ولا تلتفتوا إلى أحد، مَن لم يكن معكم في بداية معاناتكم لن يكون معكم في نهايته، لا يغرنكم شعاراتهم عن الإنسانية والديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان، جميعها نفاق وكلام في الهواء للإيقاع بكم، لا تلتفتوا إلى بياعي الشعارات، هم يتاجرون بها لنهبكم وسلبكم حتى من ملابسكم، هذه الوصية عِبرة للسوريين جمعاء.
هذا المشهد يلخص مجمل معاناة السوريين ليس فقط في حدث الزلزال، بل على مدى عمر الأزمة السورية، بأن السوري يموت صحيح ولكن يخرج من جديد منتظراً المستقبل، والمشهد يُعبر عن إرادة السوري في البقاء والوصول إلى مستقبل مشرق.
القصص والمشاهد كثيرة، تدمع الفؤاد وتغص القلوب، أصوات تنادي من تحت الأنقاض، يا الله ما أصعب هذه الصور والمشاهد التي تقشعر لها الأبدان، كل ذلك والسياسة ما زالت مسيطرة على المشهد العام، ما زال الضمير العالمي صامت أمام هول الكارثة.
أعظم ما لم يتوقعه السوريون هو أن يتم التفريق حتى في هذه الفاجعة، وكأن الله يرشدنا أن لا معين لك سوى نفسك من بعد الله. منذ أكثر من اثني عشر عاماً والشعب السوري يتطلع إلى ما سيقدمه المجتمع الدولي لهم من العون والمساعدة وإخراجهم من هذه الأزمة، ونسي نفسه ولم يلتفت إلى حاله ولم يتضامن السوريون مع أنفسهم، وتخفيف المعاناة عن بعضهم البعض، بل السوريون فعلوا العكس الترقب للخارج واستغلال بعضهم البعض، واستمرّوا على تلك الأفكار العنصرية والشوفينية، الذي زاد الكره والتشتت بينهم هذا ما زاد أيضاً من تمدد الأيادي لـ "تأليب السوريين على بعضهم"، وكان لهم ذلك.
وعليه، إن القصص كثيرة والعِبر كثيرة، والنفاق في السياسة العالمية تجاه الإنسانية في سوريا فاق بشاعة كارثة الزلزال، لنعتبر من كل ذلك، وكأنَّ الله أيضاً أرشدنا من خلال هذه الكارثة، أن السوري ليس له سوى السوري، توجهوا إلى بعض ومد يد المساعدة لبعضكم، وخففوا عن بعضكم، لا يفيدكم التشتت والعناد، أخرجوا كلّ تلك الأفكار البالية والعفنة، لأنها من صنع سياسات النفاق والمراوغة، فلنكن يداً واحدة وقلباً واحداً، ولنبدأ من جديد نحو بناء مستقبل سوريتنا المشرق.

Guterres launches a humanitarian appeal worth about $400 million for the relief of those affected by the earthquake in Syria
ARK News… The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, launched a humanitarian appeal to raise about 400 million dollars, to provide relief to the Syrians affected by the earthquake that struck northwestern Syria and southern Turkey last week.
The United Nations account on Twitter said that the Secretary-General launched a humanitarian appeal worth $397 million to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria.
Adding: This moment is a moment of unity, common humanity, and concerted action.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Guterres said that the United Nations, immediately after the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey, allocated $50 million for relief efforts through the Central Emergency Response Fund.
Guterres added that the most effective way to stand with people right now is to provide emergency funding.

Erdogan praises the relief of the Kurdistan Region for the victims of the earthquake
ARK News… Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised, on Tuesday, the humanitarian aid provided by the Kurdistan Region to the afflicted by the earthquake that struck his country and claimed thousands of victims.
Erdogan's statements came during a meeting he held with the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, who inspected the areas affected by the earthquake and the families of the victims.
According to a statement issued by the Kurdistan Regional Presidency, Erdogan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Nechirvan Barzani for his inspection of the afflicted and affected areas.
The Turkish President reaffirmed that his country looks with respect to the humanitarian aid provided by the Kurdistan Region and its relief teams that reached the bereaved areas from the beginning, to extend a helping hand to the victims.
