The Qamishlo school in the Qushtapa refugee camp in the Kurdistan Region held a celebration on the occasion of the Kurdish dress day on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in the presence of the Qushtapa Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, the Asayish of the camp, students and their families.
The celebration began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs of Kurdistan, with the Kurdish national anthem "Ay Raqib".
The celebration witnessed artistic performances, during which teachers were honored by the school administration.
The celebration was attended by a large number of camp residents in Kurdish costumes.

Organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria commemorate International Women's Day in the Kurdistan Region

More than 31,000 families in Afrin and Jenderes have benefited from Barzani's charity assistance
ARK News... The Barzani Charity Foundation continues to distribute humanitarian aid to families affected by the earthquake in Afrin and Jenderes in Syrian Kurdistan.
The Barzani Charity Foundation distributed humanitarian aid in each of the villages of Brimja and Silo in Mabata town as follows:
Brimja Village:
167 cartons of detergents and 334 blankets were distributed.
Silo Village:
67 cartons of detergents and 134 blankets were distributed.
Aid was also distributed in the villages of Husse "Mirkan" and Shitka.
According to the latest statistics published by the Foundation on Wednesday, March 8, more than 31,290 families benefited from the assistance of the Barzani Charity Foundation in the cities of Afrin and Jenderes.

The most prominent event in the current month of February, which preoccupied the region and the world, is the issue of the disasters resulting from the earthquakes that began on the 6th at dawn with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale and continued with their aftershocks and renewal in southern Turkey and northwestern Syria, including the regions of Afrin, Jenderes, and other rural areas, which killed Tens of thousands of people from both countries were killed, hundreds of thousands injured, in addition to massive material losses.
Where the earthquake demolished thousands of buildings and shops, in addition to cracking roads, cracking bridges, tunnels, etc., and it is a strange paradox that the United Nations has been very late in taking the necessary measures to provide aid and assistance to the afflicted, while it was better for it to take the initiative than other countries and institutions in this regard, and the Syrian regime was late in opening the border crossings for the arrival of aid, and was able to exploit the disasters for political purposes, and it is worth mentioning that Turkey has focused its attention on its regions, which included several provinces, Thus, the Syrian regime was concerned after the arrival of aid in the areas under its control, with the exception of the regions of Afrin and Jenderes, to which the aid was delayed because it was outside the control of the regime and outside the interest of Turkey, until the aid of the Barzani Charity Foundation arrived at the initiative of the struggling President Masoud Barzani, where it was received by those affected regions cheering and pleading, and what contributed to enhancing the people’s satisfaction is the visit of the President of the Region, the dear brother Nechirvan Barzani, to the stricken areas and his meeting with a wide range of those affected, which made this visit a healing balm in alleviating the worries and the burden of suffering, especially since the aid of the Barzani Charitable Foundation was distributed generously and without discrimination between The components of the Kurds, Arabs, Turks, etc., what increased the satisfaction of the people of the regions of Afrin and Jenderes is the opening of headquarters for the Foundation in the region to follow the developments first and closely and to continue to provide the necessary assistance until the end, and in this context, the comrades of our party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, launched a campaign to collect cash and in-kind donations in the region Kurdistan and presented it to the affected people through the Barzani Charitable Foundation. The comrades of our party and the Kurdish National Council in Europe and other regions also carried out similar donation campaigns in this regard.
Concerning the Syrian crisis, the international community is still silent about it, with the exception of the international envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, who sometimes presents to the international community and through the United Nations his impressions and perceptions about it. Only America, along with the international coalition, expresses its position by adhering to the political solution in accordance with international resolutions, especially Resolution 2254 and the reference of Geneva 1, and it does not support normalization with the Syrian regime, whether on the Arab side or on the international side, with its insistence on the aforementioned peaceful political solution.
However, the Astana-Sochi axis, despite the difficult situation of its parties, is moving towards supporting the Syrian regime, restoring its rehabilitation, and imposing its control and hegemony over all or most of the Syrian lands, through settlement with Turkey and normalization with some countries, especially Arab ones. However, those concerned parties from the aforementioned axis may seem helpless For the completion of endeavors in this regard, each according to the circumstances and factors that prevent the provision of the necessary services to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian regime.
Russia is still suffering from its involvement in its war on Ukraine and its confrontation with the capabilities and arsenals of many "NATO" countries in a depletion of its economic and military capabilities and energies, and its relative isolation politically. Rather, it is facing a real critical review of that policy in order to escape from the intractable dilemma and restore its normal nature as it was in the past.
Turkey is preoccupied with issues of the internal situation, especially those related to the disasters resulting from the aforementioned devastating earthquakes that struck many western provinces, and what it should do to provide aid and assistance to the afflicted and affected.
Iran, too, is concerned about its internal situation and what it is witnessing of expanding and deepening the state of popular agitation in escalating the protests to a degree similar to an uprising or preludes to a popular revolution, or it may turn into a massive revolution of the hungry, not to mention the difficult living conditions of large circles of Iranian society with all its components and social segments as a result of the economic situation the deteriorating situation, whether due to economic sanctions or in terms of the regime’s behavior and interference in the affairs of regional countries at the expense of its economy or the sustenance of its people, which means that the Iranian regime is also incapable of supporting others, especially the Syrian regime. Rather, Iran is heading towards more suffocating difficulties and crises.
In Iraq, it seems that the government of Mr. Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani is tending towards giving priority to combating financial and administrative corruption mainly because it sees in this all the obstacles to security and political stability, just as ignoring the role of the Sadrist movement or considering its position as a departure from the Iraqi political scene, as well as procrastinating issues of disagreement between Baghdad and Erbil, and leaving it without a solution that satisfies everyone, are all factors that are plunging Iraq into problems and crises, and therefore it should be seriously considered.
The Kurdistan Region has recently become clear about the role of the region's leadership and its activities on more than one level. Syrian Kurdistan, the suffering of our people is increasing day after day as a result of the difficult living conditions, due to the high cost, and what exacerbates the social crises is the absence of the role of the PYD administration in controlling prices or in developing the necessary plan to provide the necessary needs, rather it exacerbates the latter situation as bad as raiding homes and making arrests or calling for security interrogations in the style of the Baath authority, there is no doubt that the situation in other regions (Sere-Kaniye, Girê Spî, and Afrin) is worse, and the recent devastating earthquakes, especially in the latter and Jenderes made the situation a real tragedy that ravages people, stones, buildings, roads, bridges...etc. Which requires extending a helping hand and helping her constantly.

آرك نيوز.. نقلت قناة "المملكة" الأردنية عن نائبة مديرة "الوكالة الأميركية للتنمية الدولية" إيزوبيل كولمان أمس، الأربعاء 8 آذار 2023، أن بلادها ستقدّم 55 مليون دولار أميركي إضافية لدعم اللاجئين السوريين في الأردن، مشيرة إلى أن واشنطن "تثمّن جهود الأردن في استضافة عدد كبير من اللاجئين السوريين".
ولفتت كولمان إلى إن الولايات المتحدة أكبر ممول لدعم تلك الجهود حول اللاجئين. وقالت: "كنا أكبر ممول لأزمة اللاجئين السوريين، ونقدّر ما تفعله الحكومة الأردنية واستضافتها للاجئين، ولكننا أيضاً نؤدي دوراً كبيراً في تعويض هذه التكاليف".
وختمت المسؤولة الأميركية بالقول: "أصدرنا فواتير الأمن الغذائي التكميلية التي سمحت للوكالة الأميركية للتنمية الدولية بتوسيع تمويلنا للأمن الغذائي في جميع أنحاء العالم. الآن، مع هذا الزلزال المأساوي للغاية الذي وقع في سوريا وتركيا، نشهد زيادة في الاحتياجات الإنسانية لأسباب عديدة مختلفة، بما في ذلك الحرب، وكذلك الكوارث الطبيعية مثل الزلزال. وتواصل الولايات المتحدة دعم جهود الإغاثة والجهود الإنسانية حول العالم على أعلى المستويات التي قدمناها على الإطلاق".

أمريكا: نعمل مع الأردن لوقف تهـ.ـريب المخـ.ـدرات إلى سوريا
آرك نيوز.. أكدت نائبة مساعد وزير الدفاع الأميركي لشؤون الشرق الأوسط، دانا سترول، إن بلادها تعمل مع الأردن لتعزيز أمن الحدود ووقف تهريب المخدرات من سوريا.
ولفتت إلى أن المخدرات القادمة من مناطق سيطرة النظام السوري تهدد الإقليم بالكامل.
وأضافت سترول أن النظام دعا إيران إلى سوريا لاستخدامها أرضية من أجل تهديد باقي الإقليم.
وأكدت على ضرورة التأكد من عدم وجود تهديد “إرهابي” من سوريا نحو المنطقة.
وأوضحت المسؤولة الأمريكية، أن بلادها لن تغير نهجها في سوريا، ولن تطبع علاقاتها مع رئيس النظام السوري بشار الأسد.
وبحسب وسائل إعلام أردنية فقد دعت سترول إلى تفعيل المساءلة عن المجازر المرتكبة في سوريا، مطالبة النظام بتغيير سلوكه حتى يستطيع اللاجئون السوريون العودة إلى بلادهم بكرامة وأمان.
وأعلن الجيش الأردني، إحباط محاولة تسلل وتهريب 126 كف حشيش ونحو 20 ألف حبة “كبتاغون”، كانت قادمة من الأراضي السورية.

اليونيسيف تنظم حملة تطعيم ضد الكوليرا لـ1.7 مليون في شمال غربي سوريا
آرك نيوز.. تنظم منظمة الصحة العالمية مع منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسف)، حملة تطعيم ضد مرض الكوليرا في مناطق شمال غربي سوريا المتضررة بالزلزال المدمّر في الـ6 من شباط الماضي، وذلك بالتنسيق مع السلطات الصحية ومجموعة التحصين في سوريا والتحالف العالمي للقاحات (GAVI).
وتهدف الحملة إلى حماية الأطفال المتضررين وأسرهم، لا سيما في المناطق الأكثر تضرراً من الزلزال، حيث سيتم استخدام 1.7 مليون جرعة من لقاح الكوليرا كجزء من الحملة.
وأعلنت المنظمتان أمس، الأربعاء 8 آذار 2023، أن خطر الإصابة بالكوليرا مرتفع بشكل خاص في تلك المناطق بسبب عدم الوصول إلى المياه النظيفة وازدحام ملاجئ الطوارئ. وتشمل المناطق المستهدفة كلاً من: سرمدا ومعرة مصرين والدانا وأطمة في إدلب، ومنطقة أعزاز شمالي حلب.
وسيدير الحملة فريق مؤلف من نحو 1400 من العاملين في المؤسسات الصحية والمتطوعين، على مدى 10 أيام، يتنقلون فيها من منزل إلى منزل لتلقيح العائلات. كما يجب أيضاً الوصول إلى العائلات المشردة التي تعيش في المخيمات والأسواق العامة والمدارس، وفق البيان.
في هذا الصدد، قال المدير الإقليمي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية للإغاثة الطارئة لشرق المتوسط، ريتشارد برينان، "نحذّر من زيادة الأمراض المنقولة بالمياه التي تهدد حياة أكثر من 2.1 مليون سوري تضرروا من الزلزال الذي ضرب شمال غربي البلاد. وزاد الخطر بشكل ملحوظ بعد الزلزال المدمر، وخاصة في المخيمات المكتظة وأماكن الإقامة الجماعية".
وأضاف، "يجب على منظمة الصحة العالمية وشركائها العمل الآن لمنع المزيد من الأمراض والوفيات. حيث يتم إعطاء لقاحات الكوليرا عن طريق الفم، ومن المهم التأكد من الوصول إلى الفئات المستهدفة قبل بداية شهر رمضان، عندما يصوم معظم البالغين خلال هذه الفترة".
