Apr 25 2019

ARK News: In conjunction with the decline in the Syrian pound exchange rate in front of the US dollar, the Kurdish region of Afrin witnesses a sharp rise in the prices of food and fuel in the city markets and towns and their villages.

A private source from Afrin told the ARC Media Foundation on April 24, 2019: The Afrin markets witnessed a sharp rise in prices of food (vegetables, fruits, and meat) in addition to the prices of fuel.

The source added: Prices in the past period somewhat were stable and because of the low exchange rate of the Syrian pound against the US dollar, the markets are witnessing a rise in the prices of all materials, which has created a kind of resentment among civilians.

The exchange rate of the Syrian Pound dropped in front of the US dollar until today the purchase is reached of one dollar to 582 and sell 579.
